Mistletoe Page 4
“Just get dressed, I’ll be here waiting. You don’t have to explain yourself to me.” She gives me a peck on the cheek before I go and get ready. “One of these days you’re gonna have to tell me why you hate it so much." Heading straight for my closet I know just the outfit to wear, and I am hoping she isn’t too uptight. I need to be upfront and that means putting all the cards on the table.
Chapter Six
Brandie
What the heck have I gotten myself into? My one resolve was to stay away from everything Christmas, and I landed myself right in the middle of it, but as much as I wanted to remove myself from it, I am drawn to Grace. I’m head over heels gone for the Christmas nut, so that means I have to take all the Christmas she throws at me. The one day I spent without seeing her was enough to make me come to my senses. I had been watching the door, pacing continuously, hoping I could catch her as she went by, but I seemed to always miss her. Until this morning when I heard a door close, and I ran to the peephole.
Sure enough it was her headed in my direction. I pulled the door open so fast I’m sure I gave myself whiplash. I was done playing it safe, and not showing her how I feel. For some it may have been fast, but to me it wasn’t fast enough. So bring on the garland, the multiple trees, and at this point I’d even show her the actual North Pole just to keep her happy. The woman owned me, and she didn’t even know it.
Looking around the room, I have to laugh. She may actually be more infatuated with the holiday than the whole lot of workers we employ. She even put more care into her things than some of our decorating specialists. Grace knows her stuff, and I can appreciate the amount of work she put into creating such a beautiful get up. All her stuff is handmade or specialized, and of the best materials. She even had some antique pieces that I had seen in our own hallways of Christmas ornaments that had been given as gifts years ago. Grace was undoubtedly a nice list recipient.
Moving further into her living room, I see the large walk-in closet that has been turned into an ornament holding space. Boxes upon boxes are laying there, and curiosity gets the best of me. I pick one up and almost drop it. Grace is the one who made them, she’s the shop owner who sent the special ornament that compelled me to spend our whole budget on the design. It really was destiny.
“Hey there, pretty lady.”
Looking over my shoulder, I see Grace standing in the hallway opening leaning against the wall. She’s dressed like Christmas Sin. Her candy-cane striped tank top that has her breasts about to pop out of the top, paired with the flared out mini skirt is making me groan at the sight. Long legs that I want to have wrapped around me are sporting matching with knee high stocking and red heels. Fuck, I’m gonna unwrap this gift, and it’s going to be the best fucking gift I’ve ever gotten. My mind made up; I need to get through this little outing so I can live out every fantasy in my head.
Letting go of the ornaments, I take the steps to close the gap between us. I wrap my arms around her, pulling her to me. I kiss her forehead softly, before pressing my own to hers.
“Do you like it?” She whispers.
“I mean, you are making Christmas a lot more enticing, but I think if you give me a twirl, I’d might be more convinced.”
“Well by all means, let me entice you.” She removes herself from my arms and twirls around like a ballerina, and my momentary silence makes her frown and I need her smile back.
“Is it too much? I can change if you want.” Not wanting her to ever second guess herself around me, I take her hand. “Hmmm.. I don’t know. It does look good on you, but it is tempting to have you change...into say...nothing.” I say with a smirk.
“You ass!”
“Hey can’t blame a girl for trying. Now come on or we’re gonna be late, and the sooner I can take you out, the sooner I can bring you back home.”
“Trying to get rid of me so quick?”
“No Grace, I’m trying to keep you, in my bed, all night. Preferably naked, and moaning.”
“Fuck… I don’t know if I want to go out now.”
“You and me both, but we gave our word. Come one maybe we can make this a quick dash.”
“I thought you had a hot date?” Kent asks as he takes a break from his set, and sits with us, at the table.
Crystal who is the opposite of my Grace, and shares a unique stand on Christmas keeps staring at her watch, totally ignoring the question.
“Hello, earth to Crystal!” he snaps his fingers at her as he tries to get her attention.
“Shhh, I’m about to get rid of someone. He’s has ten minutes to get here, and I’ll finally be able to call him on his bullshit. Fucking Santa Claus my ass.” She says, and the comment has me wanting to burst out in laughter. Crystal is a hardcore Christmas naysayer, and she’s convinced it is a made-up holiday. If she only knew how wrong she was, but who am I to tell her any different when I am trying to run away from the place myself.
“What are you trying to do to that poor man? He showed up to your door yesterday at two in the morning with Mr. Donatello’s one of a kind dessert that you have to be on a three month waiting list to get a slither of. You got a whole damn cake, in under and hour, delivered by Mr. Donatello himself.”
She shrugs her shoulders as if this really wasn’t that big of a deal, and I have to say I pity the poor fool, he’s got one hell of a hellion he’s in love with. The next few minutes pass, and the victorious smile on her face, is full of mischief. “Yassss! I fucking am going to win. 10, 9, 8”
Just as she’s about to hit the last few seconds the lights all go off, and the stage lights up. The drag queens all are standing in a circle, and the song to Santa Baby starts to play.
“Crystal Sugarplum, there’s nothing I won’t do for you, including stealing Cupid’s bow and arrow just for you.” A voice says from the ceiling causing everyone to look up...and I’m not believing what I am seeing.
“Are you fucking kidding me! How the fuck did he find me?! Arrrrggg!” Crystal stomps in her chair, but I don’t miss the glint of amusement in her eye.
Meanwhile I’m trying not to choke on my drink, because there coming down to the stage is my brother in nothing but heart covered-boxer and suspenders, and he has our cousin Cupid’s Bow and Arrow. I don’t even want to think of what he had to promise to borrow it. For a second I actually have to laugh at the absurdity of what my brother is doing. Not once had he ever shown an ounce of interest in women. So to see him this invested definitely has me intrigued.
“That’s Mr. Hot Shot? Girl, you need to get on that.” Kent says walking back to the DJ booth.”
As my brother’s feet touch the stage he starts singing, very off key, the hit but changing the lyrics to what I can only assume is all the stuff Crystal has asked for. The list is so ridiculous and the crowd is loving it. Even I am laughing hysterically at how bad he is at it, and the queens are helping him try to perfect this song and dance. It ends with him on his knees belting the last note, and Crystal shaking her head at him with a huge grin on her face.
Not sure how I feel about facing Joe just yet, but it’s inevitable and I know we have to come to terms with what is happening at home. I just was hoping I would have a bit more time before this. He comes over to Crystal who stands up as he reaches her, and he picks her up. Turning my head to give them a little privacy, I wait until their very heated kiss ends.
That’s when he sees me, and I wave slightly at him. “Oh my Brandie! Shit, I...I’ve been looking for you. It’s just I met Crystal and…”
“Nothing else mattered.” I say finishing his sentence and looking over at my Grace as I say it. “I get it, the same thing happened to me.”
“Wait, how do you two know each other? I thought you played for the other team, sugarcup or do you like it both ways? I don’t care either way, I just… I’m not someone’s second choice.” Crystal looks at me, her bad mood coming back.
“I told you, once, and I’m not repeating myself again. You’re the only fucking woman I’ve ever even
looked at. So, I’m not saying it again. That’s my sister and you’re no damn second choice.”
“Well...fuck.” Is all that comes out of her lips, as he pulls her into his arms. “Look sis, we need to talk, but I gotta take my girl out of here. Can we meet for coffee in the morning?”
I nod knowing just how much I want to get out of here with my girl too, and in a split second they are gone. “Ok what are the odds, that was incredibly eerie.” Kent says coming back to the table. “Two of you falling for my best friends. You don’t have another one hiding somewhere that might be interested in me. You know a hunk, but not as crazy as that one, and not as grumpy as you.”
“No but I do have a friend, well almost like a cousin. I could see that totally happening.” I reply, knowing full well who would be perfect for him.
“Oh yeah, well leave me out of it. My heart is not open for business...but out of curiosity, what is his name?”
“John Alexander Jones, but we all call him John Alexander.”
“Huh… too bad, he sounds hot, but next year is the year of Kent. No relationships, all about me.”
“How’s that any different than you are now. You went on a date once in the last three years.” Grace tells him.
“You bitch, if I didn’t love you as much as I do, I would stop talking to you. I like being single. Now get the fuck out, both of you. I see the way Ms. Grump keeps fidgeting and looking down your shirt when she thinks no one is looking. You ain’t fooling no one, you want to eat that cookie and I rather it not be in front of me.”
Taking Kent on his word I take my girl out of there. My girl, damn did it feel good to know she was all mine. The whole way there I have my arm around her, her warm body clinging to mine, and this feeling of completion has me on cloud nine.
Chapter Seven
Grace
Holy shit it’s happening, I’m about to climb this woman like a beam pole. I thought it would be a lot harder to get her to come to her senses but now that we are on the same page I am not backing down. I’d be at the courthouse getting married to Brandie in no time. I couldn’t wait to be Mrs...Shit, what is her last name? How I had forgotten to ask? Just goes to show how gone I am for her. I am ready to get married to a woman I know very little about, but I can’t argue with forever.
“Give me two minutes to freshen up, meet me on my bed and I want you naked, Brandie.”
“You don’t say and just exactly what are you planning on doing to me?”
“You’ll see.” I say blowing her a kiss and running into the bathroom. Pulling my tank off, I’m so glad I had the forethought to wear sexy lingerie, call it wishful thinking but I wanted to look sexy as fuck if this happened. If my little number didn’t push away whatever hang up she had against Christmas I don’t know what would. My lace bra that barely covered my nips and see-through lace panties, are a new addition to my wardrobe. I ran out and bought this the day I met Brandie. Deciding to keep on the stockings and heels, I pull a couple candy canes from my drawer and stick them in my pigtails. Taking a deep breath I open the bathroom door, and hope to hell I can pull of this Christmas Seduction bit.
“Are you ready for me baby?” I call out.
“Been ready, get your sexy ass out here.” She calls out and I make it around the corner. The audible moan leaving her lips, giving me instant satisfaction. “Fuck, you’re...fuck.”
“I take it you like it?” I ask and she manages to nod. “Didn’t I ask you to get naked? Why are you still in your underwear?”
“I wasn’t sure how serious you were about that bit. I’m not great at all this, I’m not saying I haven’t been with anyone before, but let’s just say that was so long ago, I’m fucking nervous as hell to mess this up.” She licks her lips, my eyes zone in on that spot. I climb over her, pushing her back from where she was laying up on her elbows. Straddling her with my legs spread to each side of her thighs. I lean forward myself, our bodies touching, her breasts pressed up against mine, and I can see the way her chest is rising and falling, her breathing turning erratic. The action making me bite on my lips.
“You don’t need to be nervous, it’s just us here. I want you and you want me, the rest we’ll figure out along the way.” I say kissing her lips softly. I pull one hand above her head holding it there and her other to my aching pussy as I slide my panties to the side. “See how wet I am for you; it's been like that since I first saw you. I’ve tried touching myself but I can’t seem to get where I need.”
“Fuck, you feel so good.” Brandie mutters out almost a whisper.
“Good because I’m betting you’re just as needy for me.” I reply letting go of her hand, as I kiss her neck. I snake my way down her rib cage, causing her to shiver. When I finally make contact with her core, it’s like heaven. Both of us touching each other, the moment so intimate and sensual. Needing more I push another finger in going deeper, faster. Making sure my strokes come all the way up hitting her clit every time.
“That’s it, baby, right there.” I moan out as she follows my lead, I know I’m seconds away from coming, but I don’t want to stop. I start to roll my hips as she bucks up to meet my movements. Releasing her hand that I held hostage, I run my hand up the back of her neck pulling her hair in a tight hold and slam my mouth on hers. Our bodies getting lost as we finally let go at the same time. Seconds, minutes pass where we come undone, and I lay on top of her as she holds me tight. My ear to her chest I can hear her heart pumping loudly and it matches my own beat.
“Wow, I think you’ve converted me.”
Lifting my head up to look at her not quite ready to move away from this intimate moment we are sharing, I question what she means.
“If wearing that number means I get to do that for the rest of my life, then I’ll even wear the matching Christmas outfit.” Her words cause my heart to start beating fast and it has nothing to do with what we just did and everything to do with her words.
“You mean that?”
“What the outfit, yeah I’ll wear it gladly.” She responds pulling me in for a quick kiss. Needing answers, I sit up still straddling her hips.
“No, the other part, the forever part.” I tell her and prepare myself for the blow. She might not be there yet. Don’t get your hopes up. But my worry is short lived when she grabs my wrist and pulling me down to her, so our faces were inches away. “I thought that part was clear, I’m not letting you go Grace, you’re it for me.”
“Good, because I plan on being…Mrs… What am I going to be? Or are we going to be Mrs. Frost?”
A look I can’t quite decipher takes over her face and a small smile crawls up her lips. She’s not telling me something and I want to get to the bottom of it and ask her again what my name will be.
“Ok, I’ll tell you but I think we need to talk first.”
“I don’t like those words. They can never be good. Wait is your last name Scrooge, because that would just be uncanny.” This makes her really laugh, and the rich sound of it brings such joy to me.
“I think you’re going to like this one, but when I tell you. I need you to listen, and to believe me. No matter how crazy it sounds.”
“You’re kind of scaring me there, that sounds ominous.” Sensing this may be a more serious conversation than I was expecting. I sit Indian style next to her and she does the same. Pulling my hand to her lips, she kisses it, and the nervous demeanor she is sporting makes my own anxiety build up.
“So, there’s a reason why I came here when I did. I was running away from my family, and that’s why my brother was looking for me.”
“Are you in trouble? I can help you.. Whatever it is?” I start to panic, because whatever she has going on, I can’t lose her now.
“It’s nothing like that, just let me get it all out and then you can decide where we go from there.” She tells me, and her words only make me fear that this is about to slip through my fingers. Yet, I stay quiet respecting her wishes.
“I’m part of a greater good, and up until a fe
w weeks ago, I lived my life for the cause. I didn’t even care for love and I let my routine rule everything about me. In a way, I was blinded by what I needed from the world. So when they handed everything I ever worked for to my brother, I bolted, and I admit it was a bit selfish. See this is the busiest time for my family, and I didn’t care. Which led me to here, and I can’t say I regret it, because I found you. I’d gladly give up my old life for the time I’ve spent with you.”
Figuring she’s hit a spot that’s extra hard I hold her hand and squeeze it. “Whatever it is, I am always going to be by your side. Are you part of some mob, or I don’t know, vigilantes?”
My words make her chuckle, and I’m glad for the reprieve, but I need the whole truth.
“You have a wilder imagination than I thought, but it’s still not wild enough for what I’m about to tell you. My full name is Brandie Claus, daughter of the one and only Santa Claus. Or well former Santa Claus since my brother is the heir.”
Chapter Eight
Brandie
Her jaw falls open, and my little chatterbox has finally become speechless. “You ok there? I need to know you’re breathing baby.” I ask hoping she isn’t going to call the looney house one me. Only she doesn’t do that and instead jumps up and into my lap with a strangling hug around my neck.
“I’m going to be Mrs. Motherfucking Claus, because we’re getting married right away. That’s not a question, and I’m not proposing. I am going to get that name added to mine right away and you just confessed to wanting forever with me.”
Happiness courses through me, and I kiss her right in the middle of her spiel. “I fucking love you, and here I was worried you’d think I’m crazy.”
